F87 M2 Competition vs G87 M2: Fitment Guide
The two M2 generations have distinct brake configurations:
- F87 M2 (2016–2018): Base S55-adjacent engine (370 HP N55). Standard sliding front calipers — not Brembo. Ghost Rotors base kit for this configuration.
- F87 M2 Competition (2019–2021): S55 engine (405 HP). Brembo 4-piston front calipers. Significant brake hardware upgrade over the base M2. Ghost Rotors Competition-spec kit.

Track Day Brake Fade: The M2 Experience
