BMW M2 Brake Kits

The BMW M2 has earned a reputation as the purest driver's M car — smaller, lighter, and more analog than its M3/M4 siblings. The G87 M2 (460 HP S58 engine, identical to the M3/M4) weighs just 3,700 lbs in its lightest configuration, creating excellent power-to-weight dynamics and demanding brake performance to match. The F87 M2 Competition (405 HP S55 engine) is the generation that proved the M2 nameplate could compete seriously on track.

Ghost Rotors M2 kits use the 777-XE Euro Performance line — G3500 metallurgy 2-piece floating rotors on both front and rear, with carbon ceramic pads. This is the same full 2-piece architecture used on C7/C8 Corvette Z06 and 2020+ Shelby GT500 — not the American split (G3500 front / G11H18 rear) used on Hellcat and Trackhawk.

The M2 track day community is vocal about brake fade — specifically the pad fade that affects OEM Brembo compounds on the Competition and CS after 3–5 hot laps. The M2 Competition's lighter weight means it reaches braking zones faster than the M3/M4, but the smaller front rotor diameter (compared to M3/M4 Competition 400mm) means slightly less thermal mass.
