The optional Ram 1500 air suspension system adjusts ride height for load, aerodynamics at highway speed, and off-road clearance. Air springs, height sensors, and the onboard compressor all wear over time, especially on trucks used for frequent towing or heavy payload.

A slow leak often shows up first as the truck settling overnight, then rising again once the compressor cycles the next morning.

The same heavy, frequently-loaded use that stresses air springs also stresses brakes disproportionately versus a lightly loaded truck. Inspect both systems together on tow-duty Ram 1500s.
